Gensets & Diesel Engines

Lubrication: Force feed lubrication is provided either by plunger-type pump or by gear type pump to large end bearings & bush type journal bearings. Taper roller bearings need no separate lubrication. All other parts are splash lubricated. Oil is filtered by suction strainer in sump and by throw away type filter element in by pass filter.

Cooling: Engine cooling can be arranged by a run-through water system or radiator or cooling tank. In air cooled engine, engine is cooled by breeze of air through streamline cowling.Governing: A sensitive Centrifugal type governor mounted on camshaft gear wheel. Class B1 governing as per IS:11170 and or class A2 governing as per IS:10000 part VIII:1980 is provided.

Rotation: Standard rotation is clockwise when looking at the Flywheel

Drive: Standard power take-off is from Flywheel side. Power take-off for gear end at half-speed can be provided if specially ordered.

Exhaust System: A standard-type silencer is fitted for adequate silencing.

Air Cleaner: Oil bath type air cleaner is fitted for efficient filtration with large silencing.

Starting: The engine is designed for starting by hand cranking with starting handle.

Lubrication Oil: SAE-30 or 40 or equivalent.

Fuel Oil: High speed diesel oil.

Standard Accessories: Starting handle, exhaust silencer, air cleaner, fuel tank, set of spanners and screw driver.

Salient Features of Pump

Casing: The volute type casing is scientifically designed to produce a smooth flow, with gradual changes in velocity, ensuring the efficiency of the pump. The casing is made of high grade, close-grained cast iron.

Impeller: The impeller is made of high grade, close-grained cast iron, accurately machined on the outside. The interior passages are hand-finished.

Supporting Frame: Robust and sturdy, it is designed to accommodate shaft and ball-bearings. A gunmetal sleeve provides rigid support for the pump.

Shaft: This is made of special shaft steel. Accurately machined, it is designed to transmit maximum power without vibration.

Bearings: Heavy-duty ball-bearings and sleeve-bearings are used to withstand radial/thrust load.

Rotation: The standard rotation of the pump is anti-clockwise when viewed from the driving end. This makes it suitable for direct coupling to the engine.

Note: On demand 80mm x 65mm centre delivery pump, suitable for 3.7 kw/5.0 H.P. 1500 R.P.M. engine can be provide.
